Power Query in Excel allows a column to be manipulated into sections using a delimiter character. The first thing to do is to define your data source, which is the sample data that you entered into you Excel worksheet.

Right-click on the header for your data column Column1 and click on Insert Column in the pop-up menu. This will insert a calculated column where a formula can be entered.
