It is a one-year program for people who wish to become middle school or high school teachers. Teach Arizona is a cohort program, which means that all admitted students begin the program together, take coursework together and finish as a group. It is full-time, encompassing a full summer, fall and spring schedule of classes.

The program includes a half-day, full-year student teaching internship. Upon completion of the program, students earn a Master of Education degree in Teaching and Teacher Education and are eligible for Arizona secondary teacher certification grades Teach Arizona can be completed statewide.

Tucson applicants interested in student teaching and seeking a teaching position in the Sahuarita, Flowing Wells, Santa Cruz Valley, Marana, Amphitheater or Tucson Unified School Districts upon graduation should apply for the Teaching Fellows program.

Participants receive financial support during the program and additional stipends if hired by the district. TEACH Grants are awarded to students who agree to serve for a minimum of four years as a full-time, highly-qualified, high-need field teacher in a low-income school after graduation.
